I keep seeing questions on here that say things like "Liberals if you don't like it here why don't you leave?"
We are trying to protect the Constitution and the freedoms that it guarantees us as citizens of the United States. Our country was founded on this, and we are unhappy that the current administration (and their blind, ignorant supporters) are ignoring it.
The people who are telling us to just leave if we don't like it are those who support the Patriot Act, have willingly given up their freedoms, and have decided to live a life of fear.
I propose that THESE people leave and take their President. Cuba is close by and it already has a fascist government in place. You can live your life the way George sees fit. You won't have to hide from the terrorists who "hate us for our freedoms" because Bush will protect you by taking away those freedoms that cause such hate. And...just think....Guantanamo is right there so you can lock up any neighbors that disagree with you.

hiddenhotty - I agree with you 100%. No that's not my response...that's their response. I did this to turn it around on them. It's called reverse psychology. Sometimes it makes people think by putting them in the other person's shoes. I was trying to make a point.

Bildymooner - You say that separation of church and state is not a right and cannot be found in the Constitution - it's in the First Amendment. Are you saying that the Bill of Rights does not apply? Case closed: you aren't aware of your rights, and/ or are willing to cede them. Freedom of religion through the separation of church and state was one of the most important rights our country was founded on.
Later, you insist that the government is only eavesdropping on terrorists and suspected terrorists. You're unaware of the widespread data mining and database compiling that our government is doing of phone calls, e-mails, and credit cards purchases? This has been all over the news for months. Millions of accounts have been tracked. Rights are lost when we are not vigilant, when we act like sheep, the wolves eat us. You make think of yourself as a macho activist Republican, but your post says baaaaa.

What rights are you trying to protect? Separation of church and state? That can not be found anywhere in the constitution. Maybe Global warming. That doesn't exist. Secure private life. No one is tapping your phone unless you are a terrorist or suspected of terror activity's. Maybe you are trying to protect the right of gay mar rage. Where is that in the constitution? Or could you be talking about the right to kill. Which your party practices on a regular basis. (Abortion) We tell you that you can leave any time because you are causing the downfall of this great nation. Not because we think you dont like it here.
Have a nice day comrade.

I'm for Americans. I don't qualify them as Liberals or Conservatives first. In the end, I think all of our views cross over at times.
Name calling, finger-pointing, and hate-mongering are part of human nature. Don't condone it, but accept it a fact of being human. Work around it and use your charm to soften the effects. No reason to get bent out of shape or vote them off the "island".
We need to stand together; we are brothers and sisters of all colors and creeds and we have a job to do: To make this the best damn country we can possible make it.
Are you with us?

Have you ever BEEN to another country?
If so please dismiss me as one of the ignorant ones. If not, go check out the difference, come back to the States and see what you think. That is of course unless you want to stay there.
I have, and I'll tell ya I literally kissed my home soil.
Having said that, it's all good, and if it weren't for us living in the good old USA, we wouldn't be able to sit back and enjoy the freedom of such respectful debates.

westhill got it correct--first of all- i have seen what the patriot act and homeland security is all about.what really ticks me off is this-- the persecution of the elderly and innocent thru the govt entities who without warrants or court order reek havoc on the residents. imagine waking up at 2am to see prowlers with night vision and thermal imagers used upon you--have your trees destroyed with their covert surveillance using climbing spikes and axes-- the use of aerial platforms to direct lasers on your household thats pure radiation making your family sick-- calling 911 3 times to report prowlers and no police showed up (already here)-- those who commit crimes are not held accountable.(covert slimeballs) i know that im a whistleblower because whenever the law screws up its posted on criminal law group at yahoo. you can call me a terrorist, whistleblower or whatever-- i have been called alot worse names. our neighbors live here in fear because of this so called patriot act. those who commit crimes will see payback. if not in this world-- but when you see your maker-- he will be the final judge.i have put up with this crappola since june 2005. i will die here on my land as had 3 generations of my family. so go ahead and use your satellite espionage- rf weaponry and whatever else you got packed away.but i will not be so lienient the next time your task force invades my privacy and destroys what i have worked hard for all my life. so all you out there using this so called patriot act against the elderly and innocent-- you walk on thin ice around me-- you will be held accountable for crimes comitted. show up here at night to find out.yes-- i plan on moving-- not because i want to-- but because i have seen so much corrupt crap going on here that i have givin up hoping to see justice to those who are law abiding taxpayers.

I see where you're coming from, but the fact of the matter is, that hate comes from BOTH sides. Conservatives need the liberals. Liberals need conservatives. That's just the way it is.
When you post a question like this, you're being just as intolerant as any of them. Take a more moral stance. Be better. I'm sure you are.
