Depending on what kind of tile you have and if it has been waxed before you might have to strip the wax with stripper. You can get it at Lowes or Home Depot. Then after that is done you will have to mop the floor or rinse it as it's called in the floor business. Then after it's dry lay a coat of wax with a brand new mop. after it dries lay another one. Then do it one more time. It'll make your floors look like new. But you have to find out what kind of tile you have first. You don't want to lay wax on something that's just gonna soak it all up and not shine.

Straight ammonia will easily remove all the wax build up. Use a scrub brush with a handle. Mop up residue rinsing well. Get on your knees and use an old fashioned can opener to scrap the corners. Rewax the floor.

Sounds like wax &/or acrylic build-up. You may need to use a ammonia based floor-cleaner to strip off any built-up. That may have to be done by hand. I used to have use almost straight ammonia to get it to work!! Then rinse, rinse, rinse -- and use a non-yellowing floor product from then on. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Make sure you have all the grease, grim and wax products off. Use a good stripper and then mop with a good product for that purpose.

I used a Mr. Clean eraser on my linoleum floor, and it brought it back from that dull gray. The results were amazing. BUT....it didn't last, I have had to go over it again.

depends on what you're mopping with. bleach might help. you can try one of those magic eraser things. if you're using a rag type mop, you might want to use one with a pad instead, so you can really give it a good scouring
