They probably did really well in the interview and faked that they were nice people, so got the job and now they have let their true selves out. It is really hard to sack someone just because they are annoying. There are a lot of incompetent people in the world. But by being good you should get where you want to be in the future.

I know exactly what you mean.
Someone who i hate who is a member of the family works for the MOD in the UK.
However, you could say that I have done better than her as i work full-time as a legal secretary but also run my own business from home.

because they always pick the people who are more confident in interviews and some cocky/confident people can be irritating
