overwhelmed with sadness or joy. sometimes people cry because there's this hole in their hearts (not literally okay?) that was never filled, or sometimes they relate to the movie. ;)

A number of reasons:
1) The movie is really touching.
2) The movie bores them to tears.
3) They could be crying for the amount of money wasted.

It moves u and u r so engrossed in the movie that u feel for the characters and so u laugh and cry with them. It is not only movies that makes people cry, but also good novels and stories.

Why do people laugh at a movie - because they find it funny. Why do people cry when they watch a movie because they find it sad, simple really.

Because it costs 10 bucks to get into the theater, another 15 for lousy popcorn and a watered down drink, and the movies all suck!

Well, that's mainly the dad's of the families that cry, after they see how much it cost to get the family into the theatre.

I really don't know why.I've only cried wathing one movie and that was schindlers's list i just couldn't believe the things they done to people in the war.

its not really what you watch but what you hear , try it , if you mute the movie and watch it i gaurantee no tears, thats why peoples cry or get scared when they watch movies
