I used to be an all A procrastinator so I am all with you! How serious are you about getting this done? You can if you are willing to sacrifice your last week of summer but if you're not then take the normal class and not the honor one! It really won't affect your long term career mainly your short term social life since you won't be with your friends! Here is a proposed schedule.

Today--Write the essay on the first book. To be quick and efficient make a small outline say-- 1st paragraph intro-what you're going to tell them, 2nd paragraph story line and main characters, 3rd paragraph symbolism and literary devices used in book, 4th paragraph--main message of book and how it affects you, 5th paragraph-reiterate what you just told them in last 3 paragraphs.

After that finish the book you have started journal entries on and write the other 12 entries. Divide it up evenly by chapters or other natural division (some of these books are so small they might not have that many chapters!) Write a small rambling paragraph on each section a real point of view stream of consciousness type of thing asking questions about what will happen next and how it reminds you of your own life. If you can keep the journal right beside you and write and read at the same time whenever possible.

Saturday--Write the essay on that book using a format similar to the one above.

Skim 3rd book and write 20 entries on part you have read and read parts you haven't read and write journal entries.

Sunday--Finish read book #3 and write the remaining entries. Outline a essay and write it out. Start to read book #4 and write out atleast five entries.

Monday--Finish reading book #4 and write out the remaining 20 entries.

Tuesday--Finish the essay on book #4.

Make sure to set up little "treats" for the finishing of each days work for example a trip out for ice cream or go to see a friend. Do not break the schedule unless you get well ahead of yourself. If you do break it you have to be far enough ahead to be able to rejoin it at the appropriate time later.

If you get ill doing this schedule you will atleast have the excuse that you were sick and need an extra week! **If you want to make it real authentic looking make sure to change pencils or pens in your journal entries and throw a little dirt, sand, and pool water on some pages so that it really looks like you were carrying your books and journal with you all summer working on this thing.

Day 1: Finish book 2 and do the other 12 journal entries for it.

Day 2: Finish book 3 and do all 25 journal entries.

Day 3: Read 1/2 of book 4

Day 4: Read the rest of book 4 and do all 25 journal entries

Day 5: Write essay 1

Day 6: Write essay 2

Day 7: Write essay 3

Day 8: Write essay 4

If you start this today, you will be done on August 25th.

It looks like the next week you will be busy reading...
First, put all others aside except for the first one that you did not write the essay for but read the complete book.
Spend today completing the essay.
Day two, complete reading book 2 doing the remaining journal entries at the same time along with an outline so doing the essay will be a snap.
Day three-by noon, complete the essay for book 2 & then finish reading book three doing the journal entries & outline again same as aboe.
Day four-by noon have the essay done for book 3. Afternoon, begin reading book 4 again doing outline and journal entries while reading.
Day five-finish book 4 & rough draft for essay
Day six-complete book 4 essay.
Day seven-RELAX!
Keep focused

You should probably be able to complete the remaining 12 of the book you have read today. You then have 10 days remaining (give or take depending on your personal life, etc) to read 2 books, complete 50 entries, and write 3 essays.
Tomorrow, do the essay for the book you have read, and read half of the next book. Do 12 entries.
The next day, do the remaining entries for that book.
Day following, write the essay for the latest book you have read, and read half the next book. Do 12 entries.
After that, write the remaining entries.
Next day, write your final essay.

This brings you to the 23rd. On the 24th, do nothing.
On the 25th after not looking at any of it for a day, go over them in a final check.

Since you could possibly be finished the 25, should something come up or you are unable to do all the work for one day, you have some room before the due date to finish it up.

Also, I suggest getting off the internet and settling down to do the work, if it's as important as you say.

Well, you have the equivalent of 2 books to read. 62 journal entries. And 4 essays.

You have nine days...

First, finish the essay on the book you already have done, so you don't have to have that on your mind.

Next, finishing reading the book and completing the journal entries and the essay.

Finish the third book and all of the entries and essay.

Then nail that last one with all your attention on it.

It is better to focus on each task individually. I can't give you a schedule as I don't know how long it takes for you to do each task. But the first thing you need to do is get off the internet! LOL

Good luck.

Don't do a daily schedule. A daily schedule is for when you have a long time to get something done.

Sit down with a timer and a book. Set the time for 45 minutes and start reading. When the timer goes off, set it for 15 minutes and go do something else. When the timer goes off again, go back to work.

You will be amazed at how much you can get done. You should be able to read a book a day at this schedule and get all the writing done.

To save on time, you may want to read the summaries of those books first to give you a general idea of what those stories are about. Once you know the whole story, you can skim through the reading and focus on the areas that really promote the central theme or themes. This will help you quickly develop good journaling. Many libraries will have books that summarize book plots. I'm sure you'll find many book summary websites too.
