No. Even though I think those pageants are creepy, I don't think we should "blame the victim."
Anybody that would molest and kill a child is sick sick sick, and doesn't need any outside motivation fot their crimes.

It contributed to it. I don't think the contest in itself should be banned. I do think that they should not dress little girls up to look like sex symbols or even women in general. The contests should be of a Child like nature, after all, they are children. The bigger reason the tragedy happened is because of the perversion and sickness of the individual. Really, who in their right state of mind could think of doing what was done.

i'd somewhat watch the GT splendor queen contest. the reason being amazingly obtrusive... its a real splendor contest and the babes are warm. The Malaysian splendor pageants are so pretend and you comprehend they are all 'pre-chosen'. as properly that its no longer common to discover a Malaysian splendor with brains whilst in comparison with the different ones in pass over international, which makes it very embarrassing for Malaysia to take part in it in the 1st place. pass over Malaysia contest is likewise packed with infantile fights and gossips and hypocrites the place you infrequently discover in GT splendor queen contest. they do no longer desire a brainer for the winner besides, purely stable seems and that's it.

Well, in a free country, I'm not a big fan of "banning" things ... but otherwise, I hear exactly what you're saying.
I was never convinced that her parents were involved in her murder -- but I was like, "What kind of parents dress up their 4-year-old daughter like that? What kind of parents do that to her hair and her face with all that lipstick and makeup?"
I mean, she was only 4 freaking years old, for crying out loud!

I agree it made her a target. She was on stage w/ more makeup than most women wear & her clothes were questionable. Yet, whoever committed this heinous crime is a sicko (+ every bad expletive)tht will get his soon enough. God will judge the wicked & perverse.
