I have two rewritable DVD's and one does not appear on my Desk.

If they are internal, one needs to be set as Master, and the other to Slave. If they are both set to Master or to Slave, one of two things will happen: 1) Only one will work (your situation) or 2) Neither one will work.

When you turn on your system if the drive light comes on then power is connected. If the drawer opens when you turn on your system the the grey ribbon cable is connected backwards.

If both drives are connected to the same cable make sure one drive has its jumper set to master and the other drive has its jumper set to slave. If one of the drives is a hard drive ENSURE you make it the master and the DVD drive the slave.

click on my computer icon and your see what is in there the 2 drive's with be there then put a dvd in and your dvd software should auto run
