There are absolutely no disadvantages to premarital sex as long as you're careful and sensible. If anything, having sex before you're married can help decide whether the person you're planning on marrying is the person you genuinely do want to spend the rest of your life with. Use protection and choose your partners wisely and there's literally no problem with sex before marriage.

Anyway, the Bible isn't tremendously factually reliable, so I wouldn't go automatically believing everything it says. Christian fundamentalism is a dangerous thing - but so are STI's and unplanned pregnancies. It's just a case of weighing up the pros and cons of both arguments, and coming to a conclusion using your own mind, without paying too much attention to what anybody else says.

I don't see a problem w/ premarital sex. In the beginning of time there was no one there to have you say vows and giving you a sheet of paper that said you were married. Getting married is something man made up. I honestly don't believe every thing I read in the bible. Although I fully believe in God.

Pre-marital sex does not mean your not practicing safe sex. So not it doesn't mean that by having pre-marital sex your going to get diseases and get pregnant. You could get married and get a disease that your partner didn't even know he/she had. Do you realize how long it takes to show up that you indeed have AIDS. Married people can get pregnant but not ready to take care of a baby. Whether your using birth control or not. birth control is not 100% effective.

the guidelines in accordance to the bible are that sex with every person except your husband/spouse is Adultery. so as that contains pre marital sex. in my view i imagine it is all clap seize. Girls do it expecting affection, and usually with older boys. Most of them later regret it.
Diseases you can get:
syphillis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital herpes, HIV, Human papillomavirus, genital herpes.
Unwanted teen pregnancies.

Dangerous trends followed by teens:
Oral sex, because they believe it will keep them virgin and that you can't get diseases that way. Of course they are dead wrong.

For girls any of these diseases could lead to loss of fertility, as well as for guys, and in the worst of cases, their lives.

Another disadvantage are feelings of guilt and regret. These come later.

I agree with what everyone else said. It's not good if you're young and not in a stable relationship. I do think it's important to test drive the car before you buy it, if you know what I mean. I'm NOT encouraging it, but it's good to know, when you're engaged, how your future husband (or wife, I guess) is in bed. While sex isn't #1, it's an important part of a marriage!

getting pregnant, getting STD, loosing your self respect, loosing the respect of your sexual partner because you had sex with them, God says it is a sin so the consequences are obvious as i stated, just a few. Oh, let's not forget - it is stupid! Just plain stupid. It only feels good but isn't good for you - unless you are married, then it is WONDERFUL. I had per-marital sex and if i could go back i would have NEVER done it because of the consequences i suffered because I was DUMB!

take cold showers, go for walks, don't put yourself so close physically that you can't help yourself. those hormones and urges are controllable - just difficult- BUT YOU CAN DO IT!

anyway....
disadvantages are mainly STDs and pregnancy.
-if you have premarital sex, then you will most likely have many partners and increase your chances of contracting an STD. even if you are a virgin, is your partner?? when you sleep with someone, you sleep with everyone they slept with too. see, that ups the odds right there. now, if you wait until marriage, then you are committing to one person and so is your partner. that will decrease the chances of STDs.

-pregnancy...
unplanned pregnancy can happen to anyone, however, statistically, unplanned pregnancies can be handled better, financially, in a marriage than when the parents aren't married. of course, there are exceptions, however, typically, premarital pregnancies result worse than marital pregnancies.
some exapmles:
--teen pregnancy and single teenage mothers
--welfare costs increase
--teenage fathers paying child support to one or many babies


anyway....it happens, nothing much to do about it except hope that people protect themselves and use their brains!

none that i know of my friend, apart from std's and you could get that from the same partner before or after marriage,
from a personnal point of view sex before marriage is good as it lets you both know you are happy with the loving nature and the sattisfaction pleasure levels you may or may not experience with your intended husband/wife,
it would be a pity to get married and then find out you are lumped with a snide ride for the rest of your days,,
