There are homeless, because, allot of times that's the way they choose to live...... There are so many programs that help people literally "get a life", getting them into housing, job programs, etc....
My sister sits with this old lady, reads to her, gets her meals.... And she is well off, because of an inheritance. She has a twin sister who refuses to pay taxes or the high price of living, as she spouts off about, and so she has chose to live as a homeless person with the other half of her sisters inheritance sitting in the bank. Mean while, she goes to shelters for meals...etc... People get sick of the "system" always wanting so much money for everything, and they just flat out refuse to pay.
P.S. As for the Hilton, this "homeless" lady could stay there!

You didn't refrain ... you asked.
$400 a night is VERY expensive. Most people can't afford that. If you're so worried about it, why don't you buy some of these homeless people a room for a night?
A lot of people I know, $400 would almost pay their monthly rent.

I think they mean "Oh I'm sorry, I will rephrase my question. If the Hilton is only $400 a night, then why are so many homeless people on..."
yeah.

I think you're asking why there are homeless people in a city with $400 hotel rooms, correct?
Well...the hotel rooms are in demand enough to justify a $400 price tag from those who can afford to stay there. The homeless people are not using the hotel rooms because they can't afford $400 a night just to sleep there.

Refrain? Perhaps you mean rephrase?
And what does the price of a night in the Hilton have to do with homeless people?
