I accidently sent all the payrole checks to the wrong address, they are supposed to be FedExing them back today, and I am doing all I can to fix my mistake, but everyone is still really mad at me, and today is my last day at this job, because I was only a receptionist for the summer because I have to go back to school on Mon., but I really don't want to leave on a bad note, I have apologized and worked to fix my mistake, but WHAT MORE CAN I DO

there's nothing more you can do. Mistakes do happen but you have to always make sure you double check your work before submitting or sending it out. Let this be a lesson for any future jobs that you may take.

Dont worry about it,everyone makes mistakes at work even those that are supposed to be professionals,i'll bet these people you work with have made many mistakes probably even bigger ones but they won't let you know,you're just an easy target being a temp.
You've done all you can to fix the problem,and that says more about you than it does them.

There is nothing else you can do if you apologized. Now you have to forgive yourself which is THE hardest thing to do. People make mistakes. This one seems bad because it has to do with peoples money and to them it is very personal. Good Luck with school!

Send an apology card to everyone, and I would probalbly be pissed as well, People have families to take care of and bills to pay. It is too bad that this happend, I would be angry as well. Try to set their minds at ease, even send a cookie or fruit basket, but really your goose is cooked,
