ok when i said orphans i didn't mean eradicate them, I meant keep them from becoming orphans. Some funny answers though. Keep going

Religion.
All the others are necessary to keep people in their place.
Religion is evil. People need to stop believing in some made up "higher being" and start believing in themselves.

The one thing that would solve it all would be to eradicate sin. For it is a sin not to help others and most of the rest are caused by sin, with orphans being an exception but even then with out sin people would take them in as their own.

Hmmm... good question, but one thing bothers me.
Well, yes I see your point. But to eradicate Orphans... that's a bit extreme. They seem to have had a rough ride anyway, and to want to kill them all off seems a bit much.
However, if I could eradicate one thing to make the world better it would be greed. The world would have less squabbling over who's is who's and may just get the idea that we are all on the same planet and should just help each other. Poverty would be less of a problem, starvation would all but end.... the greedy want to hold on to what's theirs - the world would be better without it.

Well if we all pick one thing to eradicate we've fixed it. You missed out cancer.
Although I draw the line at eradicating Orphans. Leave 'em alone, poor buggers. Don't you think they've suffered enough?
