it depends how unhappy it was making me, and if I thought I could get another job.
I think I would attempt to get something else before quitting, unless I was desperately unhappy.

I would try to see why I'm unhappy. How long have you been there? Why are you unhappy? Is it something silly like, I don't have any friends? Or I slept with this guy and now it's akward to work with him? No sense in ruunning from one job and going to another and being unhappy there too. It doesn't look good on your resume to have 20 different jobs in the last 5 months. Know what I'm saying? Try and talk it over with your manager/supervisor and see why you're unhappy. If you really feel that you can't bear it any longer, then start looking for another job. Make sure you put in your 2 weeks notice so incase anything happens you left on good terms so you can always go back. Hope I could help

Well I had a job and honestly the enviroment is really good, and I did like that job, however it was a very hard job and the boss was ok, but he was always changing his mind now and again, however I couldnt handle with the job, so I left , even though I lost quite alot of money from not working , but im much happier right now as not doing that hard job, so if you are unhappy leave , go on benefits they can help with money

Before I got my current job I hated my last place so much. But I couldn't just leave because I needed the money for my family etc. It took me ages to find a job I actually wanted as I didn't want to just end up in another hell hole.
So if you can leave straight away you should rather than let it get you down, but also remember it's harder to get another job once you don't have one. If you can't leave cos you need the money then register with every website and employment agency going, just look them up on google.
Hope you find something soon as I know how bad it can be, all the best.

I left a job I hated last year and while I was looking for another job I temped through various temping agencies for different companies. Eventually I was offered the job that I have now and I absolutely love it! It was a bit of a struggle to begin with but was well worth it in the end. Good Luck xx

I would totally leave. The money is not worth dreading to go to work everyday and being in a bad mood while you are there. It will affect your job performance. There are many jobs out there that pay well. I am currently searching for a new job due to the fact that the stress of my job now is not worth what they pay me. Happy job hunting!!

I wouldn't take a job for money in the first place. But if I happened to get stuck in that situation I would save up enough for a boat and nice camera. Then I'd go traveling with some friends selling photography.

No girl, keep the money flowing, I would start using some of my paid time off days for job searching and interviews, then when I found a job that is suitable, I would give my 2 weeks notice.

Don't leave one job until you have another lined up. You should start looking elsewhere if you are that unhappy. Do you have some vacation time coming that you can go on interviews?

I would not leave but instead would stay at my job and do job searches in the meantime until I found something that paid the same or better. I might even let my boss know that I was looking around for something if I thought that they would be ok with it. (I did tell my boss and she understood, plus it helps when I need references and they call her and she doesn't feel surprised or betrayed.)
