T.v can be a huge influence on the human mind. You see all these show about killers in a house these are worrying especially to females you must realise the odds of something like that happening to you and how would they get in.you mightjust be afraid of the darkness at night or demonics beings you must realise in the dark they cant see you()(()()()that might be the cause heres the solution
I have this fear too so heres what I do
1.Have all the doors in the house open except the entrances
I do this so I can see everything
2.I dont know if your an athiest or not but I carry a crucifix with me when im alone in the house
3. Put on some uplifting music it always makes me feel secure.
p.s if your afraid of the dark this is because humans like to feel security and certainty they like to know whats all around them in the dark you cant and thats why im my opinion people are afraid of the dark

Do not feel stupid. I am scared to death of being home alone at night too. I rarely am left home alone, but when I am, I turn on all the lights and lay in my bed staring at the ceiling and jump at every little sound I hear. I am 19 yrs old, but in all honesty, I still think about monsters being in my closet!

It has nothing to do with age, if you don't try to fight this feeling it will stay with you till you are seventy,
I am scared too, but I can say that I was able to fight it just a bit, I mean lets say I'm 50% better now, I push myself because I feel that I need to overcome my fear and I hope one day I will, at least I sleep in my room alone, I feel a bit scared at first but then I try to convince myself that I can do it, so, I'm getting better, good luck.
