It is a cliche. A very common line in many movies and songs. Especially older ones.

I believe that you will find that line in most any movie staring Quenton Tarrintino (From Dusk 'Til Dawn is a good bet).

It's kind of like the "House of the Rising Sun". No one seems to really know it's origins, who sang or wrote it originally, what exactly it is, except that it suppsedly is/was in New Orleans long ago and is probably a place for gamblers/drinkers/pimps/homeless-type men and the women who followed them there.

'Please allow me to introduce myself" is also used a lot in the forums, in the newbie sections.

....would guess a lead motive song used in "Interview with a vampire"...i don't think it's from a movie line though....the song "Sympathy for the Devil" by Rolling Stones start with these lines.
