To speed up my computer a bit..

chuck is correct ...but there is exception to every rule...be careful when deleting from prefetch ur setup.exe is located there (windows installer)....u can regain the installer but if u do eliminate it u will have to re-load it again .....windows installer3.1 or higher..from windows update..or microsoft/downloads.com..besides cleaning a prefetch will not speed ur computer up fast enough for u to notice...but if u want max speed out of ur computer...Max the memory out

I think that deleting the items in the Prefetch is a good idea, but I doubt it will speed things up much. No harm though. I've done it dozens of times!

i think your idea is good for deleting unnecessary items from the desk top and hard disc so as to speedup the computer. free space is always good. however, try to speed up your computer with learned people or from service centers.

Do you mean the cleaning under properties under right click of C:? Check what is wants to delete, and if it is the Recycle and cookies and temp files, clean it out.
