As far as banzai_4, told you, don't pay attention to him, I think he is a disgruntled med school drop out.
Usually in the early stages of cancer there are little to no symptoms. But the Chemo therapy is really the cause of being that sick that you have to stay in bed.
And then in the latter stages of the cancer if the chemo or radiation does not work yes it is a confining painful way to go.
I am not sure if Cobalt is still used as a treatment or not.

Cancer is a serious problem that kills thousands of people every year. It can indeed make you deathly ill.
You might want to read Beating Cancer with Nutrition by Patrick Quillen. Also, you should be under the care of a good oncologist. Contact Cancer Treatment Centers of America for more info.

I would say it´s not the cancer witch makes you feel so bad, it´s the treatment. Chemotherapy can prolong your life on a very painful level but not cure your cancer... Have you ever heard of somebody recovering 100% of his disease? After chemo I haven´t. There are some so effective alternative treatments, which are so cheap and easy that it´s hard to belief they are working. But how should you be able to treat a disease caused by toxins and chemicals with a cocktail of other chemicals? If you are suffering of a disease be open for other things and start to look for all kind of possibilities to get rid of it. I wouldn´t write in that way without experience, so if you want to get some closer information, send me a mail...lordontheboard@gmail.com

It's the treatment the patients have that makes them feel so sick. My brother sadly passed away from lung cancer in 1998 and although he was very brave fighting the cancer, he was left drained from the chemo. He was 51 by the way.

Cancer in the last stage probably will keep you confined to a bed. I had several relatives who passed from cancer and all of them near the end where bed ridden. My advise to you if you have cancer is to fight, fight, fight and keep a good attitude. It will make a difference. Peace be with you.

It might depend on where the cancer is.I lost both my grandparents and 1aunt and 1uncle to cancer.I know that you can be weak at times and tire a lot.I believe it can make you so sick you cant get out of bed.Like maybe bone cancer.I have heart failure/peri partum cardiomyopathy at 30.They say it's not a disease but a condition.I have my days where im so sick I cant get out of bed.I wish they had a cure for my conditions and cancer.I lost my mom to CAD,died suddenly. It's hard to watch family and friends go through so much pain.

I had a Cancer Tumour as big as a grapefruit attatched to my right kidney, i had absolutely no pain and only knew about it because i had blood in my urine one night.
I had the tumour removed along with my kidney and i'm fine now, recovery from the operation was painful but 6 months later i was back at work.

Depends - my wife had both breasts remove 6 years ago. At first
she felt sick, but soon got over that stage. Today, she is fine and
leads a normal life with six monthly check-ups. She did not have
implants, which I thin was a wise decision.

depends on how your body reacts to it, what stage it is, where in the body its located but if the cancers winning then yeah, its hell.My dad and mum both had cancer- my mum coped really well right up until the few weeks before her death-it was only in the last few weeks when she got bad.
But my dad who was really healthy got so bad and it was absolute torture watchin him die...cancer is hell
