Moral is the subject for heated discussions all over the world nowadays, but is this a major component of our lives that we have been leaving behind, or is it just a mental and physical condition imposed by religions??

The number of sexual encounters between coworkers is dependant on the work environment. Everything from lights to the number of employees in a particular department. You will find the numbers increased in more progressive companies who present themselves as modern as opposed to the conservative. You will also not increases in the numbers based upon the average age of employees. As fa as morale, your happiness and stress relief come from where you choose. Some choose to take their comfort from religion while others find more immediate and definate forms of physical or mental pleasure to satify their need for increase of morale. It is not for one person to say what is effective for another. We have created a society that requires extremes on both ends. The more advances we make in commerce and industry the hard people have to work to succeed. I feel that sexual affairs in the work place have less to do with morale and more to do with the condition of setting people attracted to one and other in close proximity for periods of time. Nothing more, nothing less.

i think you are looking at things a little too broadly.
i think there are many sexual affairs that happen with co-workers. i, personally, have dated co-workers at the last 3 companies i have worked for. however, we were always in seperate departments and had no baring on each other's jobs etc...

i've seen it happen often. i've also seen the "work husband" and "work wife" phenomena happen. this is where there is no actual affair, but there are 2 co-workers who get along very well and have a great working relationship and are playfully called each other's "work spouse". i was in a training program with another manager and we ended up in this type of scenario. we ususally did most projects together and got along famously. we both ahd significant others, so there was no funny business, but there was definitely a great working connection.

now, as for the morality of this and whether it is good or bad.....
that is the tricky part.
yes, it happens. is it good? well, if the two parties involved are not violating corporate policy and their relationship doesn't interefer with work, then so be it. it is difficult to spend soooo much of our lives at work and not develop feelings for a co-worker.

however, if they are violating policy or creating an uncomfortable environment for other workers, then it is a bad deal.

From a moral point of view, any sexual affair out of marriage is bad.

From a work point of view, I have no problem at all with it, as long as it doesn't damage the work relationship. There's always the potential that the person you are shagging is your boss and then might pull special favors for you... which turns into a moral thing and then it's wrong to treat that person different from any other employee.

I think workplace affairs are very common. I don't see anything wrong with it if both persons are single and it doesn't affect their work. If they are married, then it's a HUGE problem. I don't think it's just about religious morals--just right and wrong in general.

it happens TOO much, people who do this have NO
respect for themselves or the others that they are involved w/. If you don't care for the one you are w/ then you should get a divorce & then go w/ the one you want to
be w/, not have an affair, it hurts too many people &
makes those cheating look like selfish pigs !

it can have a good or bad effect depending on the two chracters invovled. if it is between your boss it could be dangerous and you can lose your job especialy if your boss is marrid but if your boss is single nothing will happen. between co- wokers can be dangreous if both parties are married but if all parties are single than nothing will happen.
