Some men see it as a sign of weakness to show emotion in front of others
On the other hand may be his eye is really irritating him and to have company over would put a strain on sociable dialogue
He may want to sleep
Give him his space until he is feeling better

I don't think you should come to the conclusion that he is blocking himself emotionally from you. Sometimes people just need their space. Just give it to him. If he is spending time with you and is being good to you then there is no need to worry about it. If you truly are worried about him then let him know that in a very caring way.

Baisically, you answered your own question. Men are tough, and can withstand anything, and he probably didnt want you to think he's a baby or seomthting because he is upset about his eye.
Just trying to be macho, you should (if you can) go to his house and bring him a compress, try to make him feel better so that you can be closer, and he learns that you appreciate him, even when he's not his best.

I don't think there is a difference in the sexes when it comes to feeling bad and not wanting to entertain someone. When I've had a bad day or totally drained I can be a bit irrational in my thinking and dealing with people in general. It is a habit of mine to just be by myself, listen to music or just sleep. I don't consider myself emotional though.

If he doesn't feel well and doesn't want to see anyone then respect that. If you suspect that he is just using that as an excuse then I'm sure this isn't the first time. If you don't feel he is what you are looking for then move on.

Sickness can humble even the most macho man...we do seem to become a bit more sensitive and tend to show a crankier side of ourselves when under the weather...but I'd welcome my gf to come over and play nurse to me...but that's me...your bf feels differently.

That really has to be the way it is. If you want to force him to share with you he will just block you harder. He needs a little privacy when he doesn't feel well. That's normal.

Not emotional but uncomfortable.
Like us, men too get those bad hair days so don't take that offensively.Really it has nothing to do with you so give him that favor. One day it will pass and there he goes wooing you again.
Be patient.

No women are nuts though, thinking there is some hidden agenda with all men based upon one incident with one guy that was not feeling well....cant you just accept that his health and feelings are just as important to him as yours are to you? grow up!
