A magnetic field is created by any moving charge, be it a current or a single electron orbiting the atom. The earth's outer core, because of its temperature, has lots of these free charges.
Furthermore, the outer core is spinning at different rates from its "equator", causing turbulence in the flow. This turbulence enhances the flow of charges. The combined effect of the two is a magnetic field.
The effect has already been verified by spinnong a shpere of liquid sodium. The ball produced a magnetic field that is similar to the Earth's.

actually a spinning metal mass would not generate a magnetic field. The earth's core generates a field because the molten outer core (mantle) rotates in a different direction than the solid core. To generate a magnetic field in a metallic mass you need to wrap it in copper wire and attach a battery to it.

yes, earth core does produce gravity and the reason is also right due to rotation of a metallic mass. but u forgot that earth's core contains max. iron. The super heated iron flowing under extremely high pressure produces current. And flowing current produces magnetic field. That is how earth's magnetic field is generated. And one more thing all spinninng metallic mass DONNOT produce magnetic field. only the ones who are capable of, for ex. iron .

A magnetic field is produced when you move a current through a wire and likewise, a current is produced when you move a wire through a magnetic field.
Now there is some sort of current present in the core and the rotating outer core produces a magnetic field.

A spinning metallic object would not generate a magnetic field....The magnetic field generated by the earth's core is caused by the so called dynamo effect...There is actually currents flowing in the molten core of the earth generating the magnetic field. (Its a lot more complicated, but that's it in short)

maximum planets have an magnetic field, the magnetic field dosent shelter us totally from the solar even if it does block off the suns deadly radiations (degen auras on the pole is this in action). Even moons have magnetic fields even if they seem to be a lot weaker, mars and pluto and venus do not have a magnetic field tho
