Uh, honey, I am only 31...So I seriously doubt its menopause! ;) And I would love to have another child. I'm at a differnt point in my life than I was 9 years ago, and a child would be a gift from God.

I wouldn't worry about it.. if you know you are pregnant this one could just be different and you may not get any pregnancy symptoms. I didn't until about 8 weeks in except for skipping my period and I am carrying twins and still all I got was a little feeling of nausea and very sore breasts. My girlfriend had a tubal and got pregnant right away when trying again.

Tell your doc you had a tubal before and they may give you an early ultrasound to determine good attachment and a heart rate for your baby which drops miscarriage chance way down.

Good luck and congrats.

Rarely, if the surgeon has not taken out a segment and tied the tubes, a know slips and pregnancy happens. If this was nine years ago, you are probably near menopause, and this may be the cause of irregular periods. A pregnancy test should be valid now.

My mother had a tubal ligation done at age 25, she is 46 now and got pregnant about 6mo. ago. No matter what the doctors and statistics say tubal ligation is NOT full proof.

One of my older sisters had a tubal done but still ended up getting pregnant a couple of years later.

Take a test!
you have 75% chance of getting pregnant after a tubal (assuming it was only one side).

Did you have the cautery or just the ligature? It has been known for tubes to grow back after the ligature.
Take a home pregnancy test or see your doc.

Tubal ligation, or tubal pregnancy?
