You should physically remove yourself from the situation (go for a walk, a drive, a run) then mentally prepare to pray. I mean really pray, talk it over with Heavely Father. It's hard to show respect and talk with God when your angry.
Being angry is usually a first response to cover another emotion that's harder to face. Like hurt, betrayal, embarrasment, etc. When you talk it over with God, He can help you sort through the feelings you have and help you figure out why your angry. By the way He usually talks to your heart and helps things to just be clearer when we are (done being angry) willing to listen.
Once we know the source of our anger(the underlying emotion) we are better able to take care of the problem.

Anger is an emotion which is controled by chemicals in the brain. Sometimes anger is not controlable but if you dont do anyone any bodily harm anger is a healthy emotion. Some ways to clear the anger is to talk to someone about what makes you angry or you can do breathing exersizes to try to control anger. There are all types of methods to keep it under control, theropy is one of them.

When my Father became ill, I found my self so angry- traffic really pissed me off- then work & one of my bosses started getting to me. I went to my Doctor and he prescribed an anti-depressant- which I took for awhile- and it helped me to calm down. Then I was able to figure out why I was so mad.
That might not be the answer you desire- but it helped me.
I have had that anger come back one more time- when my Mother passed away- and instead of turning to drugs that time, I just kept asking God for help. I also listen to Christian music in my car, and it calmed me down and yet lifted my hurting spirit, as I began to praise the One who is worthy.

I usually go for a very long walk, stop for coffee along the way, sometimes two and keep walking until I start feeling calmer and usually tiredness will set in. However, yesterday, I worked in the yard instead, and took out the frustrations on the weeds in my garden, and glad a lot of them were stubborn to come out, it was just what I needed. Thanks for asking.

Take a run. The endorphins your body produces during moderate exercise will alleviate your anger.

Do something really physical. Like go for a run, a long walk, or work in my flower beds.
