I too am born American but I do not consider myself a snob. I do believe if you want to live in any country you should try and learn the language. I now live in Canada and I have many friends from other countries and we help each other they teach me their language and I help them with English. Yet even though the main concept is most Americans are stuck on them self not all of us are. I think if everyone would look out into th world and see the US is not the be all and end all of the Universe then we could all get along a little bit better. It does not help make Americans look better with the way you are speaking even if I agree that some Americans are snobs. Show some kind of dignity for your self and express your self a bit more intelligently..

Speaking your mind is part of your rights as an American.....free speech.

I traveled to many places around the world. ( I'm American ) When I tried to speak the local language everyone was flattered and tried to teach me more, except in France. They were insulting and I hated it.

I caught myself on Yahoo answers telling people to use a spell check not realizing they may not speak English as their primary language. I had acted like people I despised.

It taught me a lesson to be more tolerant.

So as caustic as some people may think your question is there is some truth in it.

You're right in one thing. You speak your mind, but you don't speak it any too well. Check your grammar and spelling.
In America we expect everyone who intends to live here for a long period to be able to get by in our language. If that seems strange to you, name any other country that accommodates people who speak in a foreign language, no matter what language it is.
So, go ahead and speak your mind, even though you don't have one. When you attempt to speak English, try to do it without all that garbage mouth stuff.

I don't care what language other people speak or how they say it......... honestly. As long as they can manage in some kind of language.... Americans are not subject to foreigners, but if they were they might get a chance to see them as snobs-we all have our ways.

I don't know where you're from, but do you expect the people where you live to speak your language. If yes, you are a snob too.

I think people expect America to deal with things other countries are not expected to deal with.

human beings like our espresso considering that's what we are used to it has stronger via the years in there. earlier each and every thing it replaced into boiled then percolated, the eating places vacuumed brewed, now we are a minimum of drip and many are grinding our very own beans and we've each and all of the espresso shops which incorporate Starbucks, so we are catching up with the Europeans

Well... If we would have shut down our borders to foreigners a long tome ago, we wouldnt have the problems we do today in our country.. We let way to many people come live in our country and we shouldn't.
Plus, if you want to live in our country, learn to speak and read our language. We shouldn't have to spend millions of dollars of foreign directions.. And press 1 for english, 2 for spanish, etc.. ITS FRICKIN RIDICULOUS..

Not everyone is like that and not everyone judges people. For you to say "you americans" your judging them as a whole.Your being just as wrong as "some"of the americans are to your people.I say why even let that bother you.If you know there are people out there that are snobs or mean why give them the satisfaction of knowing that it bothers you.

When I lived in Germany I learned German. When I lived in Mexico I learned Spanish.
If you don't like Americans then don't live here and stop talking to us. If you want to live here then learn the language and get a job. I, for one, am tired of paying welfare to people who can't work because they can't fill out a job application in English. It's rude to go to another country and not try to get along with the locals.
