Ok...I'm just over 38 weeks pregnant and just noticed some brownish discharge. Do you think it could be "bloody show?" Is that the same thing as the mucus plug? Could it just be the result of my cervix being checked yesterday? I'm 1.5 cm dialated and 60% effaced. OMG, you guys! I'm so excited....I hope I'll have this baby SOOOOOON!!

It's possible that the discharge could be due to your check-up, so I wouldn't worry about too much. Congrats on the baby :)

Sounds like yourmucus plug.. I had the same thing about 2 weeks ago, but no labor. Good Luck ! Congrats on yr new baby:)

if ur worried bout it go c ur doctor. i'm not too sure but it could be a sign that ur baby is suffering from fetal distress. however it will be fine outside the womb because 38 weeks is a normal time to have a child.

Sounds like the first stage - I had this happen but it was another 12 hours before my baby was born so no need to panic.

It could be either...just call your OB doctor or go to the hospital and get checked out to be sure.
