No not at all. Orgasm is the climax of the sexual excitement . it has nothing to with conception. For conception there should be ovulation from -ovum released from ovary - and it should be impregnated by the sperm released during the intercourse.

No, you do not need to have an orgasm to get pregnant. However, depending on when you have sex during your cycle it could help. If you are having sex the day before or day of ovulation it could definitely help. When you have an orgasm your cervix dips down and helps suck up the sperm. Here is the answer to FAQ #25
Can orgasm affect your ability to conceive?

Generally speaking, probably not. But interestingly enough, female orgasms usually increase the quantity and flow of the natural alkaline secretions that occur around ovulation. And the orgasmic contractions may help transport sperm into the cervix, where cervical crypts produce fertile quality cervical fluid. In the end, though, female orgasm is helpful, but by no means critical.

You don't need to have an orgasm to become pregnant.

Here is a Q&A from a medical site.

Orgasm & Conception
by Mark Perloe, MD (see more from this expert)

Does a woman have to achieve orgasm to get pregnant? I ask because I have never had one and my husband and I have been trying for eight months now.

--Lynn

Orgasm is not necessary to achieve a pregnancy. Sperm can enter your genital tract whether or not you have orgasm. So if you have intercourse from one to five days before ovulation, pregnancy may result.
Although orgasm is not required to achieve a pregnancy, you may still wish to consider seeing a doctor to find out whether a medical condition is preventing you from having orgasm or conceiving. If no medical problems are found, you may wish to consider sexual counseling to achieve a more fulfilling sexual relationship. Infertility is difficult enough, and frequently the pressure of trying to get pregnant can take the fun out of sex. If that is interfering with sexual relations with your husband, then this matter deserves attention before it affects the family you already have.

No, the female doesn't have to orgasm to conceive. But contrary to most answers on here, evidence shows that if a woman has an orgasm during sex, that the cervix actually "dips" into the sperm pool deposited by the male, so it may INCREASE the odds of getting pregnant.

No, that is not true. The release of an egg is due to hormones in the body.

A woman does not have to have an orgasm, however, it is helpful because the contractions caused by an orgasm can bring the sperm further into the reproductive system where the egg is waiting.

Absolutely not true. However, if you've never had an orgasm, i strongly suggest you wait a bit for having kids . . . learn to be the best you you can be before you give up being you to be a parent (i have three kids and started at age 27)

No, not neccesary - even though I heard it doesincrease chance of having a boy - since sperm carying boys chromozomes are faster, but tend to die off quickly, its easier for them to make it where they're supposed to - during orgasm your cervix opens a little so sperm gets it easier.

You don't have to have an orgasm to get pregnant...however I have been told that orgasm helps the cervix "suck"up the sperm.
