I ask because I am in a quandry about the new help I have hired. All of them are Indians (like the country) and all are vegetarians. I asked my new man, Rashed, to fix me up a nice t-bone, rare, with all the fixings. I got an earful of the sin of eating animals. What is he, a PETA shill? Anyway, after consuming a dinner of some kind of leaves, beans, and I think bark ,I retired to my room only to awake with a sawed off head of a rutabega in my bed. One of my prized ones at that. Should I reconsider his employment status (I do owe him a favor and his daughters are rather fetching) or should I learn to eat grass and like it?

Why don't you become a vagitarian. That way everyone will be happy!

Compromise might be in order for the moment. After all, you shouldn't anger people who have access to your food prior to you eating it. Rashed has to remain true to his beliefs, but he needs employment as well, and you must have someone to prepare your meals. Besides those daughters serve delicious dessert. Perhaps you could grill your own steak, with the sides prepared and served by Rashed; or, to save your soul, just drop meat from your diet. Either way, dessert is sure to remain on your menu. Bon Appetit!

You might also consider the fact that you are eating a cow, which is rather sacred to Indians.

Eat what you like and don't let Rashed or anyone else dictate that to you. If he wants gainful employment, he will do as he's told, or you will find someone else who will, period.

In the event that he's not competent enough to cook meat to your taste, do it yourself, while you seek out his replacement.

well i'm a proud meat eater and that "grass" is good for me only as an extra to my steak or shrimp or something. so i can understand your feelings. as far as the question it's rather simple to me. if you hired them and pay them money, you have the right to demand what you want to have for your dinner. so talk to him, be right open and say that he can have it his own way and you don't make him eat steak with you but at the same time you want it your way and it's either he does it without preaching you or you're gonna find somebody else. the choice is his. and please don't put his daughters into this

Your question is quite bizarre. I became vegetarian about 2 weeks and I don't really care about PETA or if they kill animals to eat. I did it for health reasons. You never said what kind of work he does.

not everything vegetarian is grass i know it might seem like it but if you really want to shag his daughters then i suggest you eat what youre given. there is some alright veggie stuff to eat, i dont like meat i think it tastes like shi1te but thats just my opinion. well bacon is nice but the thought of eating dead stuff puts me off a bit.
