Yes and no. Mold requires a relative humidity level of 65% on the surface that it is growing. If you successfully dry out the area, the visible colonies will die, but unseen spores will encapsulate themselves and patiently wait for the slightest moisture, and then begin to grow like crazy.
It is best to kill the mold. However, if a product were made excellent by yapping about it, bleach for mold removal would be the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, it is toxic to humans and has a number of limitations as a biocide. You need a "quat" formula that kills a broad spectrum of fungi and bacteria, and leaves a residue that deals with any remaining organisms that try to re-establish themselves. The best product for the least money would be Oxine, available at Trane parts, for about $10.00 for enough chemical to make up a gallon of biocide.

Mold will die and disappear if the moisture level is below like 35% not sure if this is the right number, but it is close.
But the Mold will die. It will likely leave a stain where it was though.

yes it will die. mold forms in moist, humid areas. bleach will however work quicker and will remove stains.

Yes. But bleach is faster. It is tough to get enough moisture away to kill it.

it will not die, you must kill it. clorox will work
