I mean, like my life would have been a zillion times better if I didn't do what my parents told me to, like study law and obey their instructions about never dating anybody. How about you, what would you have changed?

I REGRET NOT FORCING MY LITTLE SISTER TO COME TO TOWN WITH ME ON THAT SPESIFIC DAY, BUT IT IS TOO LATE NOW.
SHE NEVER CAME BACK... DEAD ON ARIVAL IN HOSPITAL.

10 YEARS LATER NOW, I STILL MISS HER SO MUCH.

LIFE IS SHORT, ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST.

GOD BLESS YOU

I don't regret a whole lot because I've learned from my mistakes & that makes up a great deal of who I am now. But, There are a few things I would have been better off without experiencing. Gettin married 2 a complete Jackass when I was young, drinkin & drivin, not goin 2 college outta high school, I think that about does it for big regrets

Good Question. The only thing I fear in life is regret. I dont think I have any regrets as yet, but I had to post this to show solidarity for the question. Is it just me or is it starting to get on anyone's nerves when people answer with 'whatever' or 'why do you want to know' Why do they answer a question they have no interest in. If the people did not want to know the answer they would not have asked. Jeez.

Every single mistake in my life I regret. Non-personal notable ones would be not actually going through with starting a heavy metal band when I had the chance; not 'officially' going to college; and putting that plastic plant and airstone inside of that decorative rock in my fishtank... that was such a disaster, and many neon tetras lost their lives because of it over a period of several months.

I regret not listening to my parents when they said I should wait a bit longer before getting married to my second husband. I went ahead and did it, they did not come to my wedding as they did not approve, but I thought I knew best. Here I am a few years down the line, trying to do my own divorce and going through hell because it's so hard!!! And so expensive, I could have saved myself years of pain and loads of cash...but would I listen???? No.....

So many things. Like you, I would do what my heart wanted and not what society dictates. My life would be very very different, and I have a feeling it would be better. Part of me still hopes there is time to make the changes, but they seem so difficult - how do you start again with nothing?

Six months on from the sex change I began to have doubts now three years later I realise it was a huge mistake... jk
Seriously my biggest regret is not having more children when I was younger, I'm now 40 and feel too old to have more (as does my 42 y.o. wife)

How old are your parents? There seems to be a wide generation gap between you and them? Not letting you date anybody?????? God, I don't wanna be in your place!!!!!!! Your life must really suck if you listen to all what they say! Personally, i would have done the things that my parents have forbidden me to do but i'd make sure that they do not come to know about it.

It is hard to say. I regret not listening to my mom when she warned me that my intended would hold me back and stifle me. I a married him and he did exactly that. But, if I hadn't married him I wouldn't have my two wonderful daughters. So if I had to take it back?? NO WAY, I couldn't give them up for anything.

But I do regret them having to go through this divorce with us.

I would have gone into computing straight from school. It was a geeks paradise back then and I was advised against it by the school careers advisor.
