Coral Calcium. Check with your doctor first. Some people are prone to kidney stones if taking too much calcium. I had back surgery in '95. I take 2 a day and my flexibility is still reasonably good. I have very few episodes of severe pain. I have not taken any perscription pain medication since taking the coral calcium. Make sure you get the real stuff too. It costs a little more but I think the affects are dramatically different.

Take care.

Two excellent references to look at are:
The Arthritis Cure by Dr Theodosakis
Natural Alternatives to Over-The-Counter and Prescription Drugs by Mike Murray ND. Arthritis is a complicated problem and there is no simple cure, but there are many options. A good rheumatologist or naturopath can help you.

The best treatment for arthritis is movement -- if you fail to use the joints, they will become stiff, and extremely uncomfortable when it comes time to use them. There are also some pretty good anti-inflamatory medications that help to relieve some of the discomfort.
