OEM does equal Original Equipment Manufacturer... but what does that mean? It is a term for when Radio Shack goes to Sony and says, "Hey, that's a pretty cool DVD player ya got there... What if you built them, put our name on the faceplate, and let us sell it for you? Actual manufacturer gets more market share, and Radio Shack gets a part of something they wouldn't otherwise.
