Does anyone notice the TV channel icons in the lower corner of the TV screen while watching a show... or is it just me? How annoying they are... especially when a movie has subtitles and they run through the icon. Very difficult to read!

Yes, they are a royal pain in the a**. The little ones I can almost tolerate but some are ridiculously large. I always think about cinematographers who spend so much time making a shot beautiful and some dipsh*t executive placing that logo on the screen thinking it doesn't matter. Culture, they don't have a clue.

I agree with you. Those pesky icons drive me crazy too.
I wish we could turn them off but I guess the networks feel they are necessary.

I like subtitles- you'd be surprised what punchlines you would miss by not having them on! Like on the Chapelle show they are very necessary!

They are called bugs and that is done to prevent illegal on-air transcriptions of the program for later improper selling, so you know (if you really cared) that this is an unauthorized bootleg.

Those have been there for decades. Like the familiar CBS logo "the eye".
