I'm with you on the Soccer AM and the takeaway. (Altho I need to Sky + it, because 09.00 is an obscene time to get up on a Saturday).
However, having married a man that misspent his youth fighting for Charles I, from the stories I've heard it's just a big excuse for VAST quantities of booze and random sex.
It's a right touch. Apparently.

Hahaha, I actually do Live Action Role Playing sometimes, surrounded by sad a-social men with big swords that they made themselves out of styrofoam or whatever you call that stuff in english.
But I do not dress up as a pixie.
EDIT: NOOOOOO! I am too terrible, I know!

Around here it's the Civil War re-enactors. And they ARE barking mad. There's nothing even remotely amusing to say about them. It's just too sad.

I have some friends who belong to something called the 'Soiled Nit' ... no sorry 'The Sealed Knot'... I was talking to one at a party and asked him why...... unfortunately he then proceeded to tell me.... I can't remember much after that, I lost the will to live.
