Does anybody have constant problems with bulldog broadband? I moved to them 3 months ago and have nothing but trouble. Everytime one of their DSLAMS is down on their network (which you can check on their "network status page" I cannot connect to the network. I'm in Warrington, Cheshire but even when the DSLAMs is nowhere near my town it affects me. Tech support are looking into it again but they don't seem to be very good, sometimes taking 48 hours to come back to me. Any body technical who could explain this?

LOL! you fell into the trap of Bulldog being fastest Internet connection....?

I feel sorry for you. Telewest Blueyonder.. never had any issues and been with them 5 years or so now.

as to your question, I have not experienced Bulldog, but I have seen the issues a friend of mine had, he was ranting about how his connection was 4x faster than mine, and he pays ½ of what I do, but ...

- his downtime was phenomal and was down more than it's been up...
- he was connected to a node that was 10 miles from his house, even though there was one closer (about 500 meters away),
- It took 2 weeks for them to connect him (that's 2 week AFTER the install date)
- Took days from them to phone him back concerning his complaints.
- Was on hold for hours at a time

that's just what I can remember at this time.

He switched from Blueyonder to Bulldog, and has since switched over to BT.

been with ntl over three years if they are in your area give them a try never had any down time.
if you do cancel buldog will try to get you for breach of contract but they are the ones in breach not you if they can not supply the service that you are paying your hard earned cash for.
if you talk nicely you can get some great deals from ntl i got free instalation and the best bit was i told them not to set up a date for that as i was getting another service i ended up getting the first three months free.
plus you have unlimited band width up and download as much as you want

The Brandband is good. But the customer service is very poor. Bulldog is worst in customer service. But BB is fine with them

I have my own internet business, and for that reason I am with BT, it has the most reliable network in the country... even though I pay more - I get a reliable service - it has never gone down - (yet).

Yep - we left them. They were atrocious. Call centres were useless if you ever managed to get through, and the service itself was awful.
We're now with BE. They're good.
