I know that vinegar is good for getting pet urine out I bet I will do the same for your son's. I have carpet and I use that (vinegar) then lightly mop it with a damp mop (very little water) and pinesol and this seems to work for me.

There is a carpet cleaning company that does great work, however, if you are like me, you can't really afford to get someone professional so, ChemDry not only professionally cleans carpet, but they sell carpet spot type cleaner in a can, it works great.. the best carpet cleaner ever... it has absolutely NEVER let me down, it cost about 12.00 a year or so ago, i think but it is soooo worth it. I have never saw anything take red clay mud stains out of carpet, chemdry spot/cleaner did...... like i said, it would be great to get them to come in professionally, but if you don't have the money, buy the can of cleaner from them... good luck

I'm an old mom of three boys. This is the best odor removal product I have ever used. It also kills bad stuff like HIV/AIDS virus. A manager at a laundrymat I use to go to told me about this product. She's older like I am and has worked in the laundry business most of her life. They use this to clean things that have been in fires or other disasters like flooding or sewer backups. Here's the link and you can read about it. The site can tell you where you can buy the product. I can buy it locally at several grocery stores but only in a small spray bottle. I get a big gallon sized bottle at my SAM's club and use 1/4 cup of it in my washing machine. It also acts as a softner.

Well, if all the traditional methods haven't worked for you try this stuff- it's called "Get Serious", and you can find it at Petsmart. I know that sounds wierd, but that stuff really, really works! It gets the stain and the smell out! It was meant for pets, but like you, I needed to get out some human stains. Follow the directions on the bottle and it will work EVERY time!
