The airport is actually 3 1/2 miles from the end of thr strip.It costs around $3.00 for a person to take a bus from the airport to a hotel and the taxi cabs take a scenic route which costs around $12.00.Most hotels run a free airport shuttle which is usually free if you are staying at their hotel.
If you are going on a trip to vegas,just one thing to remember.
sight see at the high class hotels,gamble at the average hotel and casino's.The Riviera pays the best on slots with Circus circus in second place.You loose your but in the high class casino's such as The mirage,balleys,luxor,cesars palace,etc....

Is about 1 mile if could just cross runways to Strip. About 2 via streets. 10 is a crazy number like many gotten by "looking up" without any actual knowledge.

The entire strip, for marketing purposes, is from Mandaly Bay to the Stratosphere... 4.5 miles long.
From "the strip" to the Airport is under a 2 miles. It is south of the MGM and west of Excalibur, Luxor and Mandy Bay. 2 miles is from the MGM...

The strip runs right up to the airport. There are slots in the airport too.

A mile or two, cab ride should run you no more than $8 or $10. (DO NOT let the cabbie take the tunnel from the airport, that's going by way of Henderson, and will run you over $ 20.)

About a 15 minute taxi ride--it depends where on the strip you are going to---could be a little longer if you are going all the way down to Stratosphere or the convention center

Maybe 3 miles...........it takes about 15=20 minutes by taxi due to the traffic.
