its the weekend so go out into the community you live in and volunter your time, service and money to those who are less fortunate.....or do you prefer the government to do it for you by taking from others and giving it away while you shout down with BUSH !?

You know absolutely nothing about the people you are criticizing. There are probably a lot more Dems volunteering their time than Republicans. How did I come to this assumption? Democrats understand that people fall on hard times and are willing to help others. Republicans generally feel that it's your own fault if you have a hard life and you should get out of it yourself. Example: Social Security...Republicans want to privatize it because they feel the people should be responsible for their own futures. This is true in a way...but all Social Security is supposed to be used for is the safety of your retirement money. Democrats aren't wanting the government to pay for our retirement, just make sure the money that we spent over 30 years saving can't be taken away from us. This involves protecting the well-being of all Americans. We are already responsible for our future by obtaining a job and holding it for so long. Why can't the government at least show some appreciation for our hard work and contributions to the American economy by keeping our retirement funds safe and secure? You see, Democrats tend to be more compassionate for the less fortunate while the Republicans just say, "Deal with it yourselves." I would be willing to bet that if you went to a homeless shelter and asked the volunteers there what their political affiliation is, there would probably be a Democratic majority.

I'll be volunteering in a homeless shelter tomorrow (you know...people who've come upon hard times that need assistance in finding work. I write resume's for them).

Then, on Monday I'm volunteering for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, sending out requests for donations for a cure.

I also give bi-weekly to the United Way thru my paycheck, and support a child in Honduras through Christian Children's Fund with a monthly donation of $30....and I'm not even a Christian!

I shout "Down with Bush" every second of every day, too.
That's the only "lip service" I give.

I think I'll go let the government know that "The Mighty Shiraz" has decided to send the police, the fire departments home, stop wasting money on red lights and stop signs because it is a waste of his hard earned cash and damn it why does everybody want his money? I'm not a democrat But I have worked along side some Building homes and helping build a church, and working with wards of the court (orphans) it seems to be such an issue to you.

Just What I see, I don't think orphans really care about your political affiliation.

Maybe you are in a predominately Republican area of geography that's why it seems to you that people who care about there community are all republican.

Yes they are cold they will talk to you and offer help and when you leave insult that person, seen it done hundreds of times, extremely evil to offer assistance and not mena it and also hope that person fails.

Thank God you never had to rely on others to "help" you and yours. It is good to see a person who was so totally detached from American society that they never even asked for help. It's good to see a person who never attended public schools, drove on Federal highways, received unemployment compensation and will surely turn down their Social Security benefits. And of course I could go on and on but . . . Ah yes, it is refreshing to see a "true" American, one who "knows" the true strength of the American character.

no we demonrats think that a cardboard box is good enough for all except us...we need advances on books we have never written where we can live in the suburbs of new york get 150000 dollars for a speech we dont think u are smart enough to live your own life so u need us to tell you how to live and which government indoctrination center (sometimes called a public school) your children can attend we send our children to St . Mary"s so do as we say pay them taxes while our rich buddies pay none (more for them to buy our books and higher fees for our speeches)
