First you should prepare some presantation profile / brouchures etc stating the business mission and goals. This will show the clients that you are focused with targets. Be sure that you give them the materials.
You can also state that you are aiming to deliver quality and reliable service.
Be sure that you are confident and and smiling. crack a joke or two to ease the tension.
Kindly ask them to try you out. Since you are small you will be able to concentrate more the the clients' requirements.

You'll need to sell yourself, much like you'd sell your products or services.

"Mr. Investor, the reason you should put money into my business is that I have 10 years' experience in the business, I have a solid five year business plan, and I've arranged for a good business location. I also have solid committments from these customers to do business with me."

Be confident, and sit up straight. Make good eye contact, and don't sound arrogant, just confident.

Good luck! - Stuart

Sap.

GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!!!
You don't know the answer? Then why did you get into that business in the first place?

You may need to rethink what you are doing. If you can not motive yourself, than how the hell are you going to convince a customer you are any good....for anybody?

My company may be new and in a growing market it may be difficult on who to choose and how to invest your finances. I will give you my promise to work harder for you then the older companies in order to prove to you that you are making the appropriate decision.

I think you are CONFUSED. Are they client or investors? because the APPROACH to clients and investors are different. And what do you want? equity or income?
Do you even have a business plan?
