There are no prizes for earning points. However, it is a way of seeing how often you answer and get a best answer response as you help people with their problems. Also you learn a great deal from both the Q's and A's and the points are just a way of making the whole process fun. I know I enjoy it a lot!!

Sorry..we don't earn money or trips..not even a vacation..what we get are bragging rights and possibly a higher standing in the community of Yahoo answer buffs! I just happened upon the explanation of the levels and what you do earn..damn if I can remember how I did that to share with ya! Senior moment?????

my friend earned a whole bunch of points, and he didn't report them on his income tax, and the goverment put him in jail for not reporting them, and now that he is out he has to give ten points a week to the goverment for the next five years.

it has no real value,its just used to get you to the next level,this whole point system is just a type of game to keep you interested.i guess you can say microsoft has its solitaire and yahoo has yahoo answers.
