Almost everyone is kind part of the time. Most people are kind when it is easy. A few are kind regardless of circumstances. A hero is kind even in the face of extreme danger. It has probably always been pretty much the same thruout time for kindness ratios...

its hard to be kind nowadays, because there are many people who abuses someones kindness or rather because there are too many modus operandi nowadays, that makes asking for money for a living. sometimes if you see someone being kind he or she do not really want to do that. because he/she may have only been kind to someone due to people looking at him/her, or what we call "attributed traits"

I guess it depends if they are having a good day. If you are feeling pissed off don't you tend to forget about other people's feelings. I know i do even though i dont intend to. Think about it though..
