Alohas

Yes, Sadly it did.

My Nannys family was all killed there except for one of her sisters who was raped repeatedly after her Husband was bayoneted by three soldiers and left to die, Then she and other women were sent to Japan as a comfort woman for Japanese Officers.

Truly one of the most Disgusting and Repulsive parts of the Japanese History of WWII. She was Hawaiian Born Chinese and came home after the war to bear witness of what happened there.

Today it is just as Disgusting and Repulsive that the Japanese will not yet accept responsibility for many of the War Crimes THEY Commited and are still Responsible for.. Even 60 Plus years later....

Yes some People still think we should have used another 20 or 30 A-Bombs.... 2 wasn't enough that's for sure....

Aloha Oi

Yes, there is a book "The Rape of Nanking" sorry I can't remember the name of the author, and I can't forget some of the photos.

Oh, it happened alright, only the Japanese refuse to acknowledge this and even refuse to print these events in their history books. Literally thousands of people were murdered by the Imperial Army for 'sport'. Reports of babies being tossed in the air and being caught on the end of bayonets and of two sergeants who competed with each other for the highest number of be headings.
Sorry for the graphic picture I have painted but people only seem to remember the allied POW's sufferings (one of which was my grandfather) and forget about the people of the occupied countries.

Yes-The exact body count is arguable, but it really happened. Even the Nazis were appalled. There are right-wing Japanese who try to minimize it, but even they don't out and out deny it.

What makes you think it didn't? There are a lot of personal accounts of the incident from both sides.

No. All the historians just made it up. WW2 was just a story put about by your parents too. Didn't happen.
