Biogas is methane that is produced by bacteria feeding on the animal waste. The methane is the byproduct of their digestion. Biogas comes not only from pig waste but also from the waste of other animals. For instance, in the Himalaya, biogas from yak dung is an importance source of fuel that provides a source of fuel other than firewood and thus reduces deforestation.

Biogas is mostly CH4 Methane (50-70%) and
Carbon Dioxide CO2 (30-40%) along with
Hydrogen H2 (5-10%), Hydrogen Sulfide H2S and others like Mercaptans, Percaptans, etc. My numbers or percentages could be off a little but they are close.
