You could grow a few things...
various herbs in pots
I have grown chillies and peppers in pots on a west facing windowsill
I have also grown tomatoes in large pots sitting on the floor at a large west facing window with some success
If you have a south facing window this will be th best for growing fruit/veg plants as they like lots of light in the main
I also know of people growing aubergines in their house
I think strawberries in pots would be another real possibility
I don't think you will be able to grow anything that will give you large yields but know from personal experience that eating stuff you have grown yourself gives you a great deal of satisfaction and is worth doing even for very small yields

I improve the seeds in pots interior the previous due wintry climate, yet even as the frost is out of the floor, I positioned them interior the backyard, the purely situation at the moment has been the squirrels, possums, deer and birds eat up the flora, very last summer they destroyed the tomatoes, so this 12 months, for the first time ina lengthy time period, i did not plant any. the purely element I genuinely have is deer resistant flora, and stuff that the squirrels do not damage.

Due to wild animals visiting and ruining my garden this year, my potted tomatoes and peppers did great this year. Try cherry tomatoes , fresh is oh so good. Get a shelf of some kind even with a southern window.
You can also try plant lights.

Sure - you can grow herbs in small pots and your kitchen would be the ideal place! As for fruit and vet well - maybe a small orange tree in a pot - as long as its warm, gets light and you feed it regularly you shouldn't have any problems. Get yourself a book from the Library on how to grow indoor plants - its as easy as that.

if you really want some nice large veggies and have a little extra room in your flat i would recomend trying hydroponics. by useing this method you can control the hours of light your garden gets to make it more productive and you would be very surprised at how much you can grow in a small area. i've done this for years and love it, and your not limited to small varieties.

Try www.thepocketgarden.com. They sell a couple of edible crops and it all grows in the bag it comes in (about 15cm by 4cm). I'm growing chillis on my kitchen window sill at the moments and they're great.

I grow chilli's, strawberries and loads of herbs in my house. all will require sunlight and warmth and water. Ornamental herb gardens are probably more suited for u if u dont have alot of space.
