there was one episode wherein Aku's history was shown briefly, don't remember w/c episode it's in anymore, sorry.
Anyways, here's how the story goes...
In the beginning; in a galaxy far,far away, a long time ago (show suggests somewhere even before first life appeared on Earth), Aku didn't have a face, whatever...he was just a big mass of...uhh..black thingies that swirled around, amidst the endless void of space...
It doesn't say why, but three uber-divine deities saw him as a great threat to the universe,so they teamed up to fight him.
One looked like an indian god,y'know w/ the multiple arms and the blue skin and all that jazz...
The other looked ike a norse god, with the glowing animalskin-wear and that gigantic battle axe,all that jazz...
And the last...uhhh...hmmm,don't remember anymore,i'd say he looked like Zeus,he whirled thunderbolts.
Anyways,they were all glowing.And ALL three of them were able to use their own divine weapons to defeat Aku-Prime.
Indian- bow and arrow
Norse- battle axe (while riding on a chariot)
Greek- thunderbolts
they all "stripped" Aku-prime;every hit he took made him grow smaller with a weird "riiip-ing" sound effect. until he was finally defeated.And so the gods returned to their respective wherevers.
Unfortunately, they didn't realize that a small,REALLY,REALLY uber-small part of Aku-prime that was "ripped" away managed to survive the dismemberment.And ESCAPED!!!
anyways,there's a long animation sequence of it journeying across space and finally reaching Earth.
Tada! Aku is born.

Jack is an inspirational figure to those he meets. Since time travel into the future makes seems much easier than time travel into the past, I think Jack is stuck and his plan to end Aku will fail. But, since he shows people how to struggle against Aku, it is the people he meets that will eventually defeat Aku.

I'd say...........Kenshin Himura (Samurai X)!They both use swords but Kenshin has more moves!!Kenshin Rocks!!
