... in a supermarket?

I miss the old fashioned (blimey, I'm only 40) cheery British milk man. Our lives become less rich the longer we spend in those devil-child supermakets.

WHAT ASPECT FROM BRITISH LIFE DO YOU MISS FROM YOUR PAST?

Wasps are getting bigger and there are less of them. It's almost like every pair got together and merged into one giant one. Bees, are the same as ever though, so that's cool.

The rag and bone man still comes on my street. And I get milk delivered from the milkman. You can see if there is a round in your area http://www.dairycrest.co.uk

So you don't have to go to the supermarket! Also the milkmen deliver potatoes, bread, juice and lots of other things especially around Christmas.

Also I shop in the market a lot in town.

I live in Luton.... not the country or anything. See you can still have the old fashioned British things in the middle of a town, you just have to find them.

I don't buy milk unless I know someone is coming for tea (cow's milk is for baby cows in my view). I miss having the postman deliver only a letter from someone I knew instead of the masses of junk mail we get everyday. I miss the one on one telephone conversations when you 'phoned a company, now it is all automated and call centres.

I love buying milk, my favourite milk buying day is Friday, I tend to call it 'Milk Friday', its fab, this one time, i bought 4 pints at once (mad, cos i only needed 3!). I used to buy full fat, and that really got me going, but i pilled the pounds on, so back to semi skimmed now. remember, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!! Long live the cow!
