when you type the address you want to link make sure you type http:// before you type the www.yahoo.com

Left-click within the address bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer. With the entire address highlighted, right-click and select Copy.

Go to your document and left-click on the position where you wish to place the link. Right-click and select Paste.
