Water into fuel only by the application of energy. Sunlight can be used with solar photovoltaics to electrolyse the water but it is not very efficient.
A biological way could be fantastic if we could trap the hydrogen successfully as it is generated.

Yes. As a fact, a romanian engineer, Mihai Rusetel invented and breveted in 2002 (Geneva) a motor that runs using water as fuel. The fuel consumption is about 5 liters / hour and the inventor thinks that a 5 liters / 100 km could be achieved in the future.

Yes but it's too expensive at the moment. Maybe when gasoline prices reach EUR 3 per liter (17 dollars per gallon, for Americans). But maybe methanol or electricity will be cheaper than hydrogen.
This hydrogen hype is just made up to divert people's attention from the fact that they have to get used to smaller cars and less driving. The American government is sponsored by the oil and car industry, you know.

We cannot use water as a fuel, But we seperate water into Hydrogen and Oxygen, we may use only hydrogen as a fuel.
It is my hope, because we should not know verywell about chemistry.

yes obviously.... think like this the molecular formula for the water is h20 that is hydrogen is 2 and oxgen is 1.... if we burn the oxgen some how theb we ll get the hydrogen the lightest gas of all and i think it is well enough to run a vehicle........ HOPE IT WILL COME QUICKLY..AND IT IS ECO FRIENDLY TOOO

If it were to become a major source of fuel, hopefully we could use polluted water. Our fresh water needs to be conserved!
