It's one thing to live outside our country and complain about us. But what reason (aside from "because they can") could people possibly have to burn the symbol of the very people who diedjust so that they could have such rights? I realize that freedom of speech is important, but why use freedom of speech rights to dishonor the very people who gave them to us?

Our flag stands as a reminder of all the fighting that it took for us to get to the point where we are now, so before you say it's "just a flag" take a few moments out of your busy schedule to think about all the men who died to get us to the point where we're at today. Maybe you think you could do better, but if you do go ahead. Go find some land to occupy, get a government set up, and let me know how well you do with that.

Flag is a symbol.
Symbol represents various freedoms.
which do include the 'burning of the flag'
burning 'flag burners' is not a right but a crime.
Though dispicable, its even more dispicable to burn the burners.
Now, however, it is possible to make the flag a unique piece of property (statutory not amendment) and make it arson.
Im surprised nobody has tried this approach.
I would never support an amendment (it would not be consitutional), but would definately support a statutory law that would effectively do the deed.

I wholeheartedly disagree with people being allowed to burn the flag. Too many people have fought and died for the flag and what it represents. I have never understood how burning the flag can be considered the exercise of free speech. But, no, we shouldn't burn the flag burners. They should be locked up. Or better, yet, put them on the front lines in a war.

because the legislature has prohibited homicide and such regulations do no run afoul of any clause in the structure. Flag burning isn't frequently outlawed, because it really is the prefered frame of mind to putting off previous, grimy flags, and is executed by technique of communities like the yank legion each day. instead, what some have tried to do is to outlaw being disrepectful of the emblem of the u.s. That type if content textile depending regulation is illegitimate by technique of the first change. BTW, ever ask your self how stupid it truly is to pledge allegience to the flag? I actually have pledged my allegience to the USA on numerous occassions, yet i'd be damned if I owe any loyalty to the emblem of the USA.

Burning a Flag may be legal or illegal but is a basic human right to do so.
Its a hardline exposition of hate by ordinary people. Do you think there is no rights to the suppressed to express their hatred in famous way?
Its not equivalent to killing of a living life.
If you ask rights to kill "flag burners" then some other will ask right to kill "flag burner killers". Then you will become a murderer and enemy of the mankind.
If you do so then where will be end of the conflict?

Well, I dont think in any civilised society any death penaly should be there in normal circumstances. There are several other ways. We should give every agitator right to speak. may be, the person is in depression or otherwise has genuine cause and may need councelling.
Killing a person over any issue is not the solution

Sir! I think it is morally wrong to be burning our flag,
also we cannot burn the burner. It's a murder thing.
BUT!! I think if they are wrapped in the flag, then it's
maybe okay to burn the flag.
.....I think :-)

No. You're comparing burning a thing to burning a human being. Can't do it.
