Couple of things you need to know: (1) All the cardio in the world won't help you unless you get your diet in order, so do the common-sense thing. Cut out soft drinks, fast food, junk food, and all the stuff you know is bad for you as much as possible and eat more lean meats, fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lowfat dairy products. Protein gives you the most bang for the buck when you're trying to reduce flab, so increase your protein intake too. (2) With all the working out you'll be doing, you'll need to drink more water. Aim for at least one gallon per day. (3) If you're going to do cardio and strength training on the same day, do strength training first -- you'll get a much more effective workout. (4) DO NOT EVER do more than 30 minutes of cardio -- it only takes about 30 minutes or so to burn out your glycogen stores, and once you do that you'll be burning muscle, not fat.

Follow this advice and you should have no problem getting that waist size down to 32" in three months (or less). Good luck!

Everyone is different, so it's tough to say. With a workout program like you described, you certainly have a respectable shot at achieving your goal. Unfortunately, "the last few pounds" are also the hardest to lose, and the mid-section (belly, love handles, etc.) are the hardest to trim. Don't get discouraged.

When deciding on a workout routine, make sure you consult a trainer or other authority to ensure you are properly targeting your abs in order to reach your goal. You could run your a** off on a treadmill and throw a whole lot of weight around and not reduce your waist they way you're hoping. In addition to the workout, drink lots of water and manage your diet - you don't have to starve yourself, but be sure your diet is reasonable for your goals. Incorporate more fruits and vegetables if they're not in your diet already, and drop as many sweets as you can without feeling deprived.

Don't get discouraged and be patient. I've been in exactly your situation and people started noticing a difference before very long. Unfortunately, I truly hate working out so I eventually fell off and I'm back up to a 34. Gotta find the inspiration again.

Good luck!
