My monitor display is set at 1650 - 1200 but the display on the internet doesn't match this?

Screen resolution is applied for the entire computers and all the applications running inside. If your screen is 1650 – 1200, you’ll see the things in IE in that format. (May be too small text. Isn’t it?) So you have an option in IE to increase the size of the text. Open IE and go to View -> Text Size -> Larger (or Largest). This will solve your problem for text ONLY. Not for images and some formatted text.

If you are running internet explorer 7,you will see a small magnifying glass with a plus(+) on it in the right hand corner of the page.Click it to enlarge images.
