When I was younger I used to go to ALOT of concerts.. Some of the people I met were Alanis Morrisette, 311, Deftones, Sugar Ray, Might Mighty Bosstones, Rancid, Courtney Love, Rage Against the Machine, Gavin from Bush, Brad from Sublime ( one month before he died), and I know there's more but cant remember...All were at concerts in Cleveland..I also met Matt and Jeff Hardy at Geuga Lake ( they did a signing) and Kurt Angle at the IX Center in Cleveland at a signing. By the way I would have loved to meet Michael Douglas, hes an amazing actor..

Yes, and everyone of them was unpretentious and truly humble in direct proportion to how much they actually had to be famous for - i.e. not just pop idol quality. Various Prime Ministers I wouldn't count. Australian painters like Tazzie Drysdale, James Gleeson, Charles Bush, etc (you won't know 'em unless an Ozzie - but thanks to one-way "globalisation", we know anyone promoted from USA and Britain), founders of leading Oz companies, Peter Garrett and other leading Greens in Oz and Europe, various Ozzie actors like Gulpillill; Archbishop of Canterbury Fisher, some famous nuclear physicists, Walter Gropius the founder of the Bauhaus (look it up). And so on. I also found anyone who was really good at any one thing was often astonishingly good at a whole range of things. But didn't need spotlights. That's for the poor sods in show business or the "famous people" mags. They have to be centre-stage to earn a living, whether their ego needs support or not. I like George Bernard Shaw's remark: "I didn't set out to be famous; any sort of notoriety would do." Good luck and happy handshakes. Personally I'm for conversation, and was very lucky to get a lot of it.

I met Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, and Kud from Mudvayne a few years ago at Ozzfest in Charlotte, NC. They were all awesome! I also met Richard Gere in Lexington, VA when he and Jodie Foster were filming "Sommersby." He was very friendly and outgoing.
