The world will be a better place if we look at other people less of their color, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality or political leanings, and more of their humanity.

Avery one should be patriotic towards their country. That means they should be true to the country of your citizenship and never be a traitor of the country they belong to. Next you must also show your humanist feeling towards the next person who needs your help, like your fellow citizens, friends, relatives and so on. There is no choice if you are called to defend your country but if you are not, you can be a humanist and help others who are in need of aid.

Let me introduce you to an old state of mind: ...imagine there's no country. These may be the word be the words of an old song, but think of it. Why do you have the urge to limit yourself while the whole planet belongs to you. In the end we are humans and our only limits and boundaries should be those of humanity. So in my opinion we should be humanists. Patriotism is an unstable concept which varies every time the government changes, have you ever thought of that?

People should be Humanistic because becuase patriatism does nothing but create hate. If we all were humanistic then i believe that this world would be in better shape than it is now.

If we take our definition of 'patriotic' from the Founders, most notably Ben Franklin, we don't have to worry about a conflict between humanism and patriotism. The man was both moral and brilliant; his life is a beacon of how to be an uber-American!!!

You chose what is best for you, your family, your friends your fellow citizens and possibly the world.
Sometimes what we think has only to do with ourselves. You need to look at the big picture.
Patriotic - is for your country made up of friends, family and fellow citizens.
Humanist - could be the same but a lot of times it is used for his or her own use.
